Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines for Proceedings of the International Conference on Business, Management, and Social Sciences (ICBMS)

Welcome to the submission guidelines for the ICBMS proceedings. To ensure consistency and quality in our publication, please adhere to the following standards for bibliographic and formatting requirements. These guidelines will assist you in preparing your manuscript for submission.

1. Manuscript Preparation:

  • Language: All papers must be written in English.
  • Length: Articles should not exceed 15 pages, including references, tables, and figures.
  • Font and Spacing: Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Margins: Set margins to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbering: Number pages consecutively starting from the title page.

2. Structure of the Manuscript:

  • Title Page: Should include the title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and a contact email for the corresponding author.
  • Abstract: A concise summary of the paper, not exceeding 250 words.
  • Keywords: Include 3-5 keywords or phrases.
  • Introduction: Present the objectives and scope of the paper.
  • Methodology: Describe the research methods and processes.
  • Results and Discussion: Present and discuss the findings.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the findings and their implications.
  • References: List all sources cited in the paper.

3. Citation and Referencing Style:

  • Use the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style, 7th Edition.
  • In-text citations should follow the author-date method (e.g., Smith, 2020).
  • The reference list should be alphabetized by the last names of the first author of each work.

4. Examples of Common Citation Formats:

  • Book: Last, F. M. (Year Published). Book Title. Publisher. Example: Smith, J. (2020). Economics of Business. Oxford University Press.
  • Journal Article: Last, F. M. (Year Published). Article Title. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page range. Example: Doe, A. (2019). Business Management Strategies. Journal of Business, 15(3), 123-134.
  • Conference Paper: Last, F. M. (Year Presented). Paper Title. In Conference Name, Location, Date. Example: Brown, L. (2021). Innovation in Social Sciences. In Proceedings of the ICBMS, Paris, France, March 2021.

5. Tables and Figures:

  • Should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Each must have a descriptive title and be numbered consecutively.

6. Submission Process:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • Ensure that your paper is proofread and free from grammatical errors.

7. Review and Publication:

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors will be notified of acceptance, rejection, or any required changes.
